Terms & Conditions

Ticketing

All events take place in the venue printed on your ticket. You will be contacted by email in advance of an event if the venue changes.
All tickets include required taxes. Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable unless the event in question has been cancelled.. If the event in question  is sold out and we are able to resell your ticket, you will receive a refund of the ticket price less any payment processing charges which we cannot recover. To apply for a refund email: hello@burylitfest.co.uk. Refunds can only be considered if we receive the request at least 14 days prior to the event date. Refunds will not be made if you contact us less than 14 days before the event date.
Each ticket payment transaction incurs a card payment processing. This fee is not revenue for BLF. Payment processing fees may change over time in line with costs of the payment service we use. Tickets can be purchased on the door during the Festival, subject to availability.
Books are available to purchase after each event at the event bookseller or at the Harris & Harris Festival bookshop at the United Reformed Church.  If relevant, authors will sign copies of their book after each event.

Some events may be filmed or recorded and we may have a photographer taking pictures for marketing purposes. By buying a ticket you are giving your consent to being filmed or photographed. Please let a member of the Festival team know if you do not wish to be filmed or photographed. Parents/guardians will be consulted before any images of children are taken.

BLF does not allow filming of events on cameras or phones at any of our events without our prior consent, which may be withheld. Filming any event or any part of our events without prior consent may be a breach of the contractual agreements the Festival has with authors.
Our venues have step free access and accessible toilets. If you require assistance with access or seating at a venue or have other special requirements, please notify us in advance so that we can assist you.
We reserve the right to alter the programme or substitute performers or workshop tutors if circumstances dictate. Please check the website for programme change alerts.
BLF reserves the right to cancel or alter events due to unforeseen circumstances. The Festival will make every possible effort to let ticket holders know in advance, but this is not always possible. Full refunds will be made for any cancelled events and refunds will be made to affected ticket holders within 28 days of the Festival ending. Refunds will be made to the form of payment used to purchase the tickets to the face value of the ticket. Transaction fees cannot be refunded.
All seats are unreserved, other than those reserved by the Festival organisers . All events are 50 minutes long unless otherwise stated and doors open approximately 15 minutes before the start time - for some events, doors may open earlier, this will be clearly stated on your ticket.
Tickets for those under the age of 18 are free of charge but must be booked in advance. All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The Festival takes no responsibility for unaccompanied children. Babes in arms do not need a ticket.
We give guidance on the suitable age range for our events but this is guidance only and parents or guardians should make their own judgement. All opinions expressed by speakers attending the Festival are theirs.

By purchasing tickets you agree that email can be used as means of communication with regard to your tickets only. You must opt-in to receive marketing emails.

Every transaction shall be deemed performed in the UK. UK law shall govern every aspect of contractual agreement concerning purchases made from this website.
