It's never too late to write your first novel - and these three East Anglian authors prove it magnificently. Each published their debut later in life, bringing decades of experience, observation and hard-won wisdom to their fiction. The results speak for themselves: three utterly distinctive voices with three extraordinary first books.

In this celebration of new writing and local talent, Jenny Knight, Camilla Balshaw and Elspeth Latimer talk to local broadcaster Georgy Jamieson about what finally drove them to write, what surprised them about the process, and what they have learned about themselves in the doing of it.
